Plan the Enclosure Around the Open-Frame Structure
Open-frame installation gives an OEM or integrator control over the final appearance, but it also makes the mechanical drawing important. The front cutout, visible active area, internal depth, fixing points and cable path should be checked before a cabinet is manufactured. Service access needs to be included so technicians can reach the display and computer without dismantling unrelated components.
For a self service terminal, screen height and viewing angle affect whether customers can read and operate the interface comfortably. The 16:9 format works well for guided processes, video-supported instructions and split-screen information. A prototype should be tested inside the real enclosure because front glass, lighting and installation angle can change perceived brightness and reflections.

Match the Windows Configuration to the Application
The existing specification lists alternative Intel-based computer configurations rather than one fixed performance level. Procurement teams should state the intended software, operating-system image, memory and storage needs so the supplier can identify the appropriate option. Applications that show static information have different requirements from applications that process local data, play high-resolution media or connect to several peripherals.
The display specification lists 16.7 million colors, a 1000:1 contrast ratio and wide viewing angles. These figures support commercial information and control applications, but the page should not promise outdoor sunlight readability based on the product title alone. If the cabinet will face strong daylight, the buyer should provide the expected light conditions and request sample testing.

Build Integration and Acceptance into Procurement
Before ordering multiple units, the integrator should confirm signal connections, touch requirements, network access, audio needs and the available power environment. The application should be tested at its intended resolution, with real fonts and buttons rather than a demonstration image. If touch is required, the selected touch configuration and operating-system compatibility must be written into the order.
Acceptance can cover image stability, host startup, application recovery, cable retention and fit inside the cabinet. For multi-site projects, an approved sample and revision-controlled drawing help keep later production batches consistent. Packaging and installation documents can be aligned with the buyer’s assembly process.
Project schedules should allow time for mechanical and software sign-off before volume production. The display supplier, enclosure factory and application team can record open issues against the same sample. When responsibilities are assigned early, a late change to glass, mounting hardware or the Windows image is less likely to delay assembly at the final installation site.
